For the future

“The Dvořák Prague Festival is becoming indispensable for us, and it has been enormously inspiring and beneficial. Thank you for receiving us so graciously.”

The programme series For the Future represents projects focusing on the education and support of young artists. Each year, the festival hosts a concert for the final round of the competition Concertino Praga. In order to strengthen the training of orchestral players, in 2020 we introduced the Dvořák Prague Youth Philharmonic, a project for creating a festival student orchestra, and each year we will be following up with something similar to strengthen the training of future professionals in the fields of orchestral and chamber music playing. Such appearances at a prestigious festival alongside concerts given by the world’s top performers help young musicians gain experience of inestimable value. A masterclass is a unique opportunity to play for extraordinary artists and teachers and to consult with them about their own views on the work being interpreted. And these experiences are of enormous value to young artists beginning their careers.

Through your contribution, you are supporting promising young musicians who are predestined by their talent and hard work to a professional career and to the possibility of returning to the festival in the role of professional artists.
