Security information

Unfortunately, security has become a topic of discussion around the world, and the Dvořák Prague Festival wishes to draw attention to its security measures at concert venues and in the halls. Our primary concern is for your safety as well as the safety of the performers and our entire team.

  • Please check in the cloakroom any items that could impede other audience members in the concert hall. For security reasons, you will not be permitted to enter the concert hall with such items.
  • Large items of luggage may not be left in the cloakroom. For security reasons, you will not be permitted to enter the concert buildings with such items.
  • Bringing weapons, sharp or pointed items, or objects of any kind that are seen as dangerous or could be used as a weapon into concert halls is forbidden. This includes selfie sticks.
  • Making of audio or video recordings in the concert halls is strictly prohibited unless the presenter allows an exception.
  • Respect the rules of polite behaviour and do not disturb the musical performance. The presenter reserves the right to judge the suitability of audience members’ behaviour in the concert hall, and if the presenter’s instructions are not obeyed reserves the right to expel such persons from the hall without claim to refund of admission price.
  • We ask visitors to carry a valid form of identification to identify themselves if necessary.
  • For security reasons, we ask for your understanding concerning any spot checks of persons and their belongings.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. We hope you enjoy this cultural experience.

The Dvořák Prague Festival Team

Dear Festival Fans,

We are presenting this year’s festival in all of its breadth because we believe that we will all be gathering in September. However, we do not underestimate the seriousness of the situation because our absolute priority is to ensure the health and safety of all visitors and artists at the Dvořák Prague Festival. On this page of our website, we will publish continually updated information about all public health measures that are relevant to in-person attendance at the concerts and public events we are presenting.

Special measures valid as of 1 September 2021

Everyone attending concerts and public events at the Dvořák Prague Festival must present written or electronic confirmation of satisfying one of the following conditions:

  • 14 days have passed since the second dose of vaccination (for two-dose vaccines);
  • a negative PCR test not more than 7 days old (testing is not required for children up to age 6);
  • a negative POC antigen test not more than 72 hours old (testing is not required for children up to age 6), (a POC antigen test is an antigen test administered and subsequently evaluated at a public testing site or at another site licensed for such testing);
  • after suffering from COVID-19, the period of isolation has lapsed, but not more than 180 days have passed (from the first positive test);
  • a negative antigen intended for self-testing performed on location at the concert venue.

Admission to and presence at event venues will be permitted only with a respirator or nano mask for the entire duration of the event.

As the presenter, we must check compliance with these requirements. To make the checks go smoothly, we ask that you arrive on time. You will make our checks much easier by installing the mobile telephone application “Tečka” (Dot) from the Czech Ministry of Health. The application enables the downloading, management, and presentation of Digital COVID Certificates on your mobile device.

If you need to secure an antigen test before attending a concert, you can utilise our mobile testing site on the Aleš Embankment (Alšovo nábřeží) or you can bring your own self-test.

  • the Aleš Embankment next to the side entrance into the Rudolfinum (from the Vltava side)

  • at any time during the 2 hours prior to the concert

  • a non-invasive antigen test taken from the edge of the nose performed by a healthcare professional – valid for 72 hours (200 CZK)
  • a self-test that you bring with you and perform on site – after testing in front of the medical staff you will receive medical confirmation for the event (confirmation is free)
  • a self-test purchased on site – medical confirmation for this procedure (70 CZK)

  • via the reservation system (recommended)
  • without a reservation (yes, but it is not possible to guarantee that you will be tested on time and without any waiting)

Concerts outside the Rudolfinum (the Convent of Saint Agnes of Bohemia, Saint Vitus’ Cathedral):

  • please use the testing site at the Rudolfinum one or two days in advance (this only applies to the tests performed by a healthcare professional that are valid for 72 hours)

Thank you for your patronage.
