In August 2008, he was invited to give two concerts on the occasion of the Beijing Olympic Games at the National Center for the Performing Arts. On 10 July 2014, Cyprien Katsaris performed in the first concert at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

About the programme

No master of their craft emerges straight from school, and no one steps onto the stage of Carnegie Hall directly from a conservatoire. Following the transformation of great talents into top-level performers is an extraordinary experience, and one that the Dvořák Prague Festival masterclasses make possible. It is fascinating to observe how a thoroughly prepared piece grows in beauty with every small detail. One cannot help but marvel at how many seemingly minor elements lie behind a perfect performance. In detail, it is not only the devil that is hidden, but above all perfection.

The legendary pianist and composer Cyprien Katsaris has amazed audiences for many years with his refined tone, perfect control of sound colour and a technique that appears entirely natural and effortless. He will share his experience in a masterclass that the public may watch, offering a rare opportunity to observe how music is transformed in the hands of young artists under the guidance of an outstanding virtuoso.
