The first notes of the 2026 Festival. Here are the dates to mark in your calendar.

As the 2026Festival beginstuning its instruments for thisyear’s events, we would like to get you in tune with Dvořák Prague, too.
February marks the anniversary of one of the jewels ofAntonín Dvořák’s oeuvre. Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op. 88premiered on 2 February, 1890 at Prague’s Rudolfinum, with Dvořák himself conductingthe first performance. This composer’s “optimistic winter” excursion into aRomantic mood stands out for its freshness, joy and richly coloredorchestration. Symphony No. 8 is among the most frequently performedworks in Dvořák’s repertoire and is one of the most cheerful pieces he ever wrote.
There’s anotherimportant date that deservesfortissimo mark in yourcalendar: in just a few weeks- on Friday, 20 March - we will unveil the complete program of this year’s Festival. We will open ticket sales to the generalpublic on the same day.
