About the Programme

The Moravian town of Luhačovice: for some, an ideal spa retreat; for others, a place where Leoš Janáček sought rest and inspiration. And for the past 30 years, for many young musicians it has been home to the Václav Hudeček Academy. Under the patronage of the legendary violinist Václav Hudeček, aspiring and highly ambitious players of the violin – long called a royal or noble instrument – gather here to advance their skills. Jan Novák and David Kubita are shining examples of how talent, refined by immense diligence, can transform ambition into genuine artistry.
